Intellectual Property Law and Marketing Law

An idea can only be protected if it meets the requirements of intellectual property - such as copyright, a trade name, a design right, a trademark or a patent.

Intellectual property law is the area of law that governs the title to and the use and transfer of intellectual property. We provide lectures on intellectual property law and marketing law and are also happy to assist you with matters such as: • Assessment of whether an idea can be protected as intellectual property • Transfer, licensing and royalty agreements • Applications for registration of trademarks, trade names and designs • Representation in infringement disputes • Drafting contract provisions regarding the ownership of inventions and other ideas created by employees or consultants
