Swedish e-sport national team sponsored by Wåhlin law firm
“The Swedish team have every opportunity to secure medals and we’re going for gold!” says Magnus Jonsson, chairman of Swedish e-sports Federation (“SESF”) and member of the board of International e-sports Federation (“IeSF”).
As proud sponsor Wåhlin law firm support the Swedish e-sport national team as they are heading to the 2016 World Championships in Jakarta Indonesia on the 5 to 10 October.
This becomes the 8th World Championship arranged by the IeSF. The IeSF is supported by about 50 membership nations and is growing steadily. Thus indicating the explosive growth of the e-sport phenomenon. This is further supported by the fact that Chinese on line-giant Alibaba chose to support IeSF with 150 million USD through a partnership.
Sweden is one of the forerunners in e-sport with several previous successes in the World Championships. The toughest opponents for Sweden are usually from South Korea, China and Russia.
This year the Swedish national team will compete in the following team sports; Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends. In the individual sports the Swedish national team will also be competing in Hearthstone.
We at Wåhlin, with SESF:s new legal advisor Emil Winkler, wish our national team godspeed!
