Wåhlin has advised SKYLOTEC GmbH in the acquisition of ActSafe AB
Wåhlin has advised SKYLOTEC GmbH in connection with the acquisition of a worldwide market leader ActSafe AB, based in Lindome, Sweden.
Founded in 1997, the Swedish company ActSafe became a market leader for power ascenders for motor-driven rope ascension within 20 years. SKYLOTEC, one of the leading world brands for fall protection, is expanding its development and manufacturing capacities – and gaining additional expertise which will benefit its customers.
SKYLOTEC GmbH in Neuwied, Germany, was founded in 1947 and is one of the leading manufacturers of personal protective equipment against falls from a height and safety systems in the fields of sport and industry. In addition to an extensive product range in the field of fall protection, the portfolio also includes intensive advice and service as well as a worldwide training program in the Vertical Rescue College. This combination of expertise from the industry and specialist knowledge in mountaineering leads to ever new innovations from which wearers benefit – whether at work or in their leisure time. SKYLOTEC currently employs around 500 people worldwide and has its own production facilities in Germany, Slovenia, Sweden and Hungary as well as branches all over the world.
The mandate is a result of Wåhlin’s strategic collaboration with the Interlaw network and Wåhlin’s team consisted of M&A partner Jonas Holmstedt and associates Nicolina Erickson and Max Giese.
