Wåhlin Advokater has advised Canadian mining company Mandalay Resources Corporation in its merger with Australian Alkane Resources Ltd, creating a gold and antimony producer with a forecasted market capitalisation of USD 640 million.

Subject to all approvals, the new entity will be listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) as well as the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and will include two Australian gold mines as well as the Swedish Björkdalsgruvan gold mine outside Skellefteå, with an estimated combined gold production of 160,000 ounces (4,500 kg) per year.
